Context

This is a personal design case study and the designs here reflect a future project for a mobile site for Justice Or Mercy, a brand started by me and a close friend.

Research and Inspiration

This design project consisted of researching competitive sites to get an idea of what kind of information to displayed on the home screen, product screens and blog pages to provide customers with an idea of who Justice Or Mercy is and what they offer.

Goal

My goal was to create a solution that provides the customer with the necessary information and asthetic to decide if Justice Or Mercy is the place were they would purchase clothing.

What is Justice Or Mercy?

Justice Or Mercy is a faith based t-shirt brand, created to enourage and inspire a young generation of Christians. The words Justice Or Mercy are defining the many levels of God and who He is at his nature and the characteristic of His behavior.

Here's a breakdown of the designs I've made.

The Logo

This logo was designed specifically with street wear in mind. I knew that I wanted this brand to be displayed with a gritty but artistic style reminiscent of graffiti art. This brand is for those who appriciate the music and culture of hip hop and at the same time have faith in the God of the Bible.

The Design

Website Navigation Bar
Navigation Bar

The Design for this mobile site was to present a unique feature into how a user would navigate it. I decided to create a top menu bar that has the logo in the middle, the menu button to the left and a cart icon to the right. The unique feature is what happens when you click the "M" button which is the menu button. The menu would drop down covering the enitre web are until a selection is picked, making for a very simple, easy and accessible site to navigate through.

The Font

This font was not created by me.
Justice Or Mercy draws significant inspiration from street apparel, particularly the laid-back aesthetics of casual skater clothing. The selection of the typeface was a pivotal moment during the creation of the t-shirt design, guiding the overall visual direction. To maintain a cohesive brand identity, the same font used in the t-shirt design seamlessly translates to the website design. This approach harmonizes the brand's elements, ensuring that the essence of the design philosophy resonates both in the physical clothing and the digital presence.
